Konecranes to supply RTG cranes to Indonesia

Konecranes has announced an order for five rubber tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) from the Indonesian state-owned terminal operator PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero), (Pelindo 1).

The cranes will be delivered to Belawan International Container Terminal (BICT), located on the west end of the Malacca strait and owned by Pelindo 1. Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2011. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the order.

The five 8-wheel RTGs, with a lifting capacity of 40 tonnes, will stack one-over-six containers high and six containers wide, plus a truck lane.
