Malaysia’s first LNG import terminal on the cards

Kuala Lumpur: Petronas is to finish a study by the end of this year into a proposed first for gas-rich Malaysia, an LNG import terminal. The planned facility would be capable of handling 3.5m tonnes of LNG a year. The plant, likely to be situated south of Kuala Lumpur, could be up and running by 2014.
