H1 throughput of Port of Singapore up 8%, to 250,3m tons

Six-month freight traffic via Port of Singapore gained 8.1% as compared with H1, 2009, to 250.38 million tons, the Port Authority statistics said.
In January-June, crude volume shrank by 4.4%, to 87.8 million tons, while container count rose by 14.3%, to 14.06 million TEUs.

Singapore, a city-state, is located on an island in the South-East Asia. 2009’s throughput of Singapore amounted to 472 million tons.
