Rizhao container throughput up 16.9% in first half 2010

In the first half 2010 cargo throughput at Rizhao Port, Shandong Province, China amounted to 111.73 million tonnes up 25.1 percent year on year, with container throughput at 492,000 TEUs, up 16.9 percent, NewsTrak Daily reported.

Despite the frequent bad weather in the period, which affected 9,000 vessel-hours of loading and uploading, the port set over 100 new production records.
