Mobile application checks container status ‘On the Go

eModal has launched an online port community system for the iPhone, improving communication and collaboration between trucking, marine and rail communities. ‘Container Availability’ for the iPhone enables users to look up container information at over 40 US container terminals, viewing real-time status information, such as import container availability and Customs clearance status.

The application helps the port community find container status information quickly and easily, and saves recent container searches so users can view the updated status of a container without re-entering container numbers.

It also provides the ability to search for a group of containers with the same prefix and view status information at a glance with colour coded icons.
