SINGAPORE's global terminal operator PSA International has won the Best Global Container Terminal Operating Company award for the fifth time at the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) in Shanghai.
PSA Singapore Terminals was also voted "Best Container Terminal - Asia for the 21st time, having lifted four million TEU in a year.
"We are honoured to receive these accolades and PSA remains committed to delivering the high productivity and service standards," said PSA International Group CEO Eddie The.
PSA is invested in 28 ports in 16 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas. It has a global capacity of 111 million TEU and more than 66 kilometres of quay length. In 2009, PSA handled 56.9 million TEU worldwide with 25.1 million TEU passing through Singapore.
The 24th AFSCA was organised by Cargonews Asia, whose readers were polled in 42 industry-specific categories. Award winners are regarded as industry benchmarks of excellence in their respective areas.
