Yangtze River trunk stream ports' throughput up 33.5pc in April

PORTS on the trunk stream of Yangtze River handled 680,000 TEU in April, up 45.9 per cent year on year and 3.7 per cent over March, Xinhua reported.

Tonnage of the throughput of these ports amounted to 120 million tonnes, up 33.5 per cent year on year and 7.7 per cent month on month. Foreign trade cargo volume increased 8.5 per cent over the same month last year and 8.9 per cent over March to 15.2 million tonnes.
