Vladivostok Fishing Seaport handles freight train from NE China

A FREIGHT train hauling 40 containers loaded with paper products produced in China's northeastern provinces has arrived in Vladivostok Fishing Seaport (VMRP).

The transhipment containers were due to be transported by ship from Vladivostok Fishing Seaport to the Port of Shanghai.

The transit cargo had been shipped via the Suifenhe-Grodekovo border crossing, said the Russian Transport Daily Report, which added that the appointed freight forwarder is Huashengoyun (China).

It added that the launch of this service was originally scheduled for 2009 when the relevant contracts were signed, but was delayed because of the economic crisis.
