Exports of coal via Vysotsky Port down 31%, to 718.700 tons in Jan-Apr

Coal volumes exported through Port Vysotsky LLC this January-April amounted to 718,725 tons, a 31% drop from 1,050.000 tons handled in Jan-Apr, 2009, PortNews IAA reports with reference to the stevedoring company statement.

Port of Vysotsk is located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, 159 km north-west of St. Petersburg. Por Vysotsky Company is a major operator at the port. The PV LLC transships largely coal exported to Western Europe. In 2009 the stevedoring company reported 2.9 million tons, the volume of 2008.
