Southern customs post of St. Petersburg Customs to switch to around-the-clock-work

With the increase in the number of vehicles arriving at the southern customs checkpoint of St. Petersburg Customs, in order to optimize the duties of customs post officers without reducing the effectiveness of customs control Cyril Krasilnikov, acting Chief of St. Petersburg Customs decided to organize the clock work of officers of customs clearance and customs control department of the customs office. Department of customs clearance and customs control of the customs office will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Olga Efimova, the press-secretary of the St. Petersburg Customs reports.

Vehicles will be able to stop off at the terminal around the clock. The driver within one hour of arrival must submit documents to the customs office in the Southern Division of Customs control over transit to register your arrival. Process of registration of one vehicle makes up 6 minutes. Also during the night officials of the customs post will conduct operations on customs inspection of vehicles.

Thus, all vehicles arriving in PZTK at night will be inspected by the time  Department of customs clearance and customs control stars operation. All this factors will allow declarants and customs brokers to file customs declaration earlier.
