New DB Schenker terminal starts operations

The new DB Schenker logistics terminal near the Bulgarian capital of Sofia is now fully operational.

As one of the most modern freight hubs in the country, the logistics center interconnects successfully rail and road traffic, with two private sidings.

“In our region, we are relying increasingly on railports – terminals where we can implement intermodal solutions that are profitable for our customers,” said Elmar Wieland, chairman of the board of management, Schenker and Co, Vienna,also responsible for the activities in Southeast Europe.
