NORTH China's Port of Tianjin posted a 9.4 per cent growth in throughput to 93 million tonnes and a 12.7 per cent increase in container movement to 2.17 million TEU, reports Xinhua.
The port registered a record high of 8.2 per cent in throughput to 34.5 million tonnes, mostly attributed to CSAV's Mediterranean and South America service, MOL's South America loop and Mariana Express Lines' Australia service.
The port's throughput of crude oil reached 12 million tonnes in March, and it moved 149,700 automobiles in the first quarter, March hitting a record high of 60,000 cars.
