ZIM's new Asia-Mediterranean-Europe (AME) string has made its first call at Shenzhen's Da Chan Bay Terminal (DCB).
The new service is the operator's fifth to include as stop at the Modern Terminals-managed facility, which offers highway and waterway links to the Pearl River Delta's manufacturing areas.
The AME service, which features a 12-vessel deployment, each with an average capacity of 4,000 TEU, will make weekly calls every Saturday.
Port rotation for the string is Shanghai, Shenzhen-Dan Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Suez, Haifa, Ashdod, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Alexandria, Limassol, Haifa, Ashdod, Suez, Colombo and back to Shanghai.
