Ningbo port to launch a direct service from Jiaxing to Japan

CHINA's Ningbo Port Group is working with shipping lines and forwarders to launch a direct service from Jiaxing (another port in Zhejiang province) to Japan, reports Xinhua.

Jiaxing port's transshipment volume goes by the Ningbo inland branch line, which brought about 29,000 TEU in the first two months of the year, accounting for 80 per cent of its 37,000 TEU, up 76.4 per cent year on year. Foreign trade throughput stood at 15,000 TEU with a 162 per cent growth.
