Apr 15, 2008 Port

Adesta is chosen as premier security technology partner for the needs of one of the world's largest port complexes, the Port of Los Angeles

Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems announced they will design and deploy an access control, CCTV and a video content analysis system through 2 separate contracts at numerous facilities for the Port of Los Angeles. The total value of these contracts is over $10 million. The Port of Los Angeles is the leading container port in the nation and a critical hub in the international supply chain. The system will provide the Port a higher level of protection and reduce the vulnerabilities of its facilities.

Adesta will design, build and integrate additional cameras into the Port of Los Angeles’ current security system. The cameras will be strategically placed, providing a higher level of video protection to key areas within the Port complex. In addition to expanding the video analytics system, Adesta will add sensors, access control and system monitoring capabilities. Project completion is scheduled for the summer of 2008.

“As a world-class international transportation and distribution hub, it’s crucial that the Port of Los Angeles provides a high level of security for the assets and interests it serves,” said Bob Sommerfeld, President of Adesta. “Adesta is a leader in providing electronic and physical security measures to ports and other critical infrastructure in the U.S. and around the world. Our extensive security and systems integration experience will contribute to safe and efficient operations for the Port of Los Angeles.”
