Geniki Lines to extend coverage of Malaysia-Brunei coastal service

MALAYSIA's Geniki Lines Sdn Bhd has announced a new service from April 6 that will extend its existing coverage of ports in the country to the Port of Muara in Brunei in a loop, which has handled an annual volume of 43,000 TEU.

Johor-based Geniki Lines will deploy the 629-TEU Guang Ping on the 10-day loop that will cover the following rotation: Port Klang, Singapore, Pasir Gudand, Muara and Kota Kinabalu and back to Port Klang. Geniki says it expects to handle 3,500-4,000 TEU to and from Muara from April to December this year.

The Guang Ping will also to provide the services to Muara, Negara Brunei Darussalam with Straits Borneo Express Service (SBX), covering the ports of Port Klang, Singapore, Pasir Gudand, Muara and Kota Kinabalu and back to Port Klang, offering a fast transit of 2.5 days to Muara.

Geniki Lines also offers four sailings a month on its Straits Kuching Express 1 service on the following rotation: Port Klang, Singapore, Pasir Gudang, Kuching and back to Port Klang using the 258-TEU Geniki Johor

Also provided are three sailings a month on the Straits Kuching Express 2 service with the rotation of Port Klang, Singapore Kuching, Bintulu and back to Port Klang, using the 278-TEU Geniki Sarawak.
