Port of Vladivostok cargo up 47pc in February

VLADIVOSTOK Commercial Seaport of Russia handled 40,223-TEU between January and February showing a leap of 47 per cent year on year according to Russia's Portnews agency.

In the month of February from Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT) freight volumes handled came to 20,919 TEU, of which 8,700-TEU were outbound and 5,998 TEU were imports and 6,941 TEU came from the coastal trade.

Forty more vessels docked at the terminal year on year in February showing an 8.37 per cent increase over previous month and a 66.98-per cent surge year on year. Turnover per vessel averaged 523 TEU.
