Manila, Philippines (AHN) - Twin explosions struck outside a Catholic church and a bank in Zamboanga city, a port city in southern Philippines on Sunday morning, but no casualties were reported, police said.
Reports said no one was reported injured in the blasts but the first explosion happened in front of Metropolitan Catholic church on Sunday morning were two parked cars, belonging to priests, were damaged and windows of the cathedral were broken.
The second explosion happened beside a bank right after the first explosion happened.
Authorities believed that the al-Qaida-linked Abu Sayyaf militants were behind the twin bombings.
A local police officer found a mobile phone and traces of a mortar at the bomb sites.
