A Chinese-controlled multipurpose ship has reportedly struck a reef while leaving Trinidad's Port of Spain.
The 22,800-dwt Yong An Cheng (built 1992) suffered "serious hull damage" in the incident, according to cargo law firm Countryman & McDaniel.
A spokeswoman at the Port of Spain, however, said there was no knowledge of the incident at the facility.
The Chinese-flagged vessel is owned by Xiamen Ocean Shipping Company, a Cosco Group company with a fleet of 15 vessels.
The ship, which is classed by the China Classification Society, has protection-and-indemnity insurance from Skuld.
