Cargotec’s Marine Service team in Norway has signed a frame agreement with the Norwegian purchasing association Incentra a/l. The agreement covers service, inspections, spare parts and an option for MacGregor Onboard Care (MOC) commitment to the installed MacGregor base.

Cargotec has today more than 450 units installed within this group consisting of traditional merchant ship owners and the new offshore vessel owners. These installations are a mix of cranes, winches, davits, rescue boats, RoRo equipment, linkspans, gangways and valve systems. “Both parties considered the negotiations were very constructive. We have succeeded in making a good, modern platform together with many of the leading companies within the Norwegian shipping and offshore industry” says Göran Johansson, sales manager for Cargotec marine service.

The society Incentra is selective in choosing product areas and suppliers. Each framework agreement is a result of thorough market research and evaluation of the supplier’s ability to comply with the quality standards required by the members.
Close co-operation and open communication as well as building up good long-term relations beneficial to both parties are essential. Incentra consists presently of 39 member companies operating approximately 670 vessels and rigs.
