DETROIT, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- On tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, 2008, W. Steven Olinek, Deputy Director of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority (DWCPA) and Director of the Greater Detroit Foreign Trade Zone Inc., will give the annual State of the Port Address at a luncheon meeting hosted by the Detroit Propeller Club in cooperation with the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Detroit Yacht Club located at One Riverbank Road, Belle Isle, Detroit. Olinek's message will include an overview of the port's activities, future port projects and an update on the construction of the DWCPA Public Dock & Terminal Project.
The Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority established in 1978, is a non-profit organization based in Detroit, whose mission is to promote commerce and enhance trade opportunities within the global marketplace through the Port of Detroit, by implementing creative economic development solutions and complement its governing units. Funding for the Port Authority is provided by the State of Michigan, Wayne County and the City of Detroit.
