Courage Marine has upsized its fleet with the acquisition of an elderly capesize bulker. The Singapore-listed shipowner is buying the 1981-built, 130,000 dwt, Constantinoupolis from Greek owner Dalex Shipping for $7.85m. The vessel will be the largest in Courage’s fleet and increase overall tonnage by 30%. The ship is due to join the company’s fleet in the first quarter of the year, and it said the larger vessel would offer greater economies of scale.
