Seaport in Haiti capital reopens

The largest port in the Haiti capital Port-au-Prince has reopened, confirms the U.S. Coast Guard. The port was damaged in the devastating earthquake afflicting the country last week. ”We’re are on our third vessel and the structural engineers have okayed this operation we are doing,” said Lieutenant Commander Mark Gibbs, to the news agency Reuters on Thursday.
