Ningbo's box volume equals high 2008 levels in 2009

EAST China's Ningbo port has registered a throughput of over 10 million TEU in 2009, once again reaching the same volume of 2008, reports Xinhua.

The port's container throughput experienced a decrease in the beginning of 2009 due to the financial crisis, but hit more than 900,000 TEU over five consecutive months since last July. In last September, the volume came to 1.05 million TEU, which broke a monthly record.
