Qinzhou port's berth and yard projects completed

SOUTH China's Guangxi Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area has completed construction of its No 1, No 2 berths and stock yard, which also passed an inspection from higher authorities, reports Xinhua.

The CNY300 million (US$43.9 million) project involving two berths, completed on August 15 and have a capacity of 100,000 tonnes and a length of 767 metres. The back up yard was completed on November 27 and has an area of 80,000 square metres.

These new facilities will further enhance Beibu Gulf's (aka Gulf of Tonkin) port capability and guarantee operations when the port's phase two project kicks in, the report added.
