Xiamen port's international transit volume up 49.6pc

SOUTHEAST China's Xiamen port registered a monthly growth of 49.6 per cent in international transit volume to 33,600 TEU in October, 2.5 times that of last October, reports Xinhua.

The port's international transit volume came to 124,900 TEU in the first 10 months, surpassing that of last year's 100,000 TEU with a expectation to exceed 150,000 TEU this year.

The port experienced rebound in international transit business after July, coupled with the October volume hitting a record high.
