Two berths completed in new cargo district of Sochi port, – Transstroy

Engineering Corporation Transstroy CJSC completed construction of two berths in the territory of a new cargo district of Sochi port, Interfax reported with reference to the company’s representative.

‘Berths 4 and 5 are ready to receive cargoes and berth vessels. The object has not yet been fully put into operation but the berths are ready to operate under a temporal scheme of elaborated by the Client invested part of the port,’ – highlighted the company’s representative.

The two berth are capable of reloading of about 1.25 mln tons of cargo.

It is necessary to remind that the construction of the whole complex is scheduled to be fully completed in November, 2010. The client is FGUP Rosmorport, the general contractor – Transstroy. Cargo turnover of Sochi port in the Mzymta river estuary will amount to 5 mln tons annually.  The cargo port will be reconstructed into a yachts marine upon completion of Olympic objects construction.
