New board member of Port of Hamburg Marketing named

Claudia Roller will become a new board member of Port of Hamburg Marketing. During its meeting at 6 March 2008 the supervisory board of the Hamburg port marketing organisation has appointed her as a member of the Executive Committee, effective as of 1 April 2008. From then on, the executive committee will consist of Claudia Roller and Dr. Jürgen Sorgenfrei. She will be responsible especially for customer care and projects in the European hinterland of the Port of Hamburg. She succeeds Hendrik Lorenz, who will leave HHM on own desire at 31 March 2008.

In the course of her career, Claudia Roller (55) collected professional experiences both in the shipping company and in the harbour operation. She is experienced in the sea port transport industry and in the organisation of hinterland transport. Skilled as a shipping merchant, she has been active since 1984 at the Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) as a key account manager for big customers and in a leading function in container marketing.

The organisation Port of Hamburg Marketing promotes the interests of the Port of Hamburg, whereas its activities regarding enterprises and competition remain neutral. The organisation is the central contact for port customers from around the globe. It informs on the efficiency of Germany’s largest sea port, cares for customers and projects, organises fair participations of the port and organises port specific seminars and international conferences.
