Despite the present difficult situation in the Russian automobile market, the Volkswagen Group is developing new logistics pathways to offer their customers in the East a high delivery quality. The first test vehicles were recently loaded by the equipment of the 3rd Stevedoring Company in St. Petersburg.
The 3rd Stevedoring Company is operated jointly by JSC Sea Port of St. Petersburg and BLG Automobile Logistics. BLG’s logistics competence was an important reason for the VW Group’s decision to load the vehicles in the future through the community terminal in St. Petersburg.
With the St. Petersburg terminal, and together with the shipping company KESS, which offers a weekly service from Bremerhaven to St. Petersburg via the Finnish port of Hanko, Paldiski, BLG meets Volkwagen’s high quality standards.
