Mr. Tony Boemi, Vice-President, Growth and Development at the Montreal Port Authority (MPA), has been named Director and Corporate Secretary of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA). His mandate is for one year.
This appointment took place peripheral to the 51st Annual General Meeting of the ACPA, held August 23 to 26 in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
Mr. Boemi’s professional experience spans more than 34 years in the marine transportation industry.
His career began in 1975, the year he joined the ranks of CP Ships, where he worked for 31 years, initially in the area of customer service, after which he held various management positions in sales, marketing and business development.
In the wake of Hapag-Lloyd AG’s repurchase of CP Ships in 2005, Mr. Boemi was made Sales and Marketing Manager, a position he held until May 2008 before joining the MPA as Vice-President, Growth and Development.
