Aeroflot gives non-comparative cargo statistics, buys 15th Airbus

RUSSIA's Aeroflot-Cargo in July handled 12,992 tons of cargo and mail, divided between 7,104 tons of bellyhold and 5,888 tons in freighters.

In July, the Russian flag carrier deployed three DC-10F-40s, two B-737 freighters, as well as the second and the third MD-11Fs. In 2009 the aircraft fleet consists of three MD-11Fs.

More recently, Aeroflot received delivery of its 15th A319 Airbus adding to a fleet of Aeroflot of 56 Airbus aircraft. The last A319 was delivered under an operational lease in 2008. BOC Aviation Limited is the lessor.

All aircraft were delivered from the plant and have two configurations designed for 116 people (A319), 140 people (A320) and 170 people (A321). Aeroflot deploys them on the European and Russian routes.
