LNG terminal will cost EUR 100mn more

Mikolaj Budzanowski, the recently appointed deputy minister of treasury, has announced that the construction of an LNG terminal in Swinoujscie will cost EUR 600mn - EUR 700mn (USD 1.01bn), which will be EUR 100mn more than it had been originally.estimated. This is because the capacity of the terminal in the first stage of the project will be doubled from the initially planned 2.5bn to some 5bn cubic metres. The completion of the LNG project will take place by 30 June 2014, says Budzanowski, as it is when Qatargas Operating Company will supply the first load of LNG to Swinoujscie, Logistics Finland reports.
