Shenzhen down 19.8pc year on year, but up 2.1pc in June from May

PORT of Shenzhen lifted 1.41 million TEU in June, a year-on-year decrease of 19.8 per cent, 3.4 per cent wider than the decrease recorded in May, Logistics Week reported.

Throughput tonnage fell 8.6 per cent year on year and 2.1 per cent over May to 15.8 million tonnes.

During the first half of this year, Shenzhen lifted a total of 8.1 million TEU, down 20.6 per cent, with a tonnage of 87.7 million TEU, down 16.6 per cent. Foreign trade cargo dropped 20.3 per cent to 64.5 million tonnes.
