Dertje Meijer, new director Port of Amsterdam

The Municipality of Amsterdam has appointed Dertje Meijer as director of the Port of Amsterdam.
 
Dertje Meijer has been working for the Port of Amsterdam since 2001. She headed the commercial section until April 2009. When former director Gerson was appointed Alderman of the city of Amsterdam in April this year, Mrs. Meijer was appointed deputy director.
 
After completing business administration studies, Mrs. Meijer began her career at Fokker Aircraft B.V. She held various positions at Fokker before joining Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, where she held a number of management positions.
