Oka Shipyard launches chemical tanker, project 00216

The launching of a chemical tanker, project 00216, developed by OJSC DO «Vympel», took place 4 June at «Oka Shipyard», Navashino. After outfitting and tests, the ship will be operated by Malaysian Company АЕТ.

 

OJSC DO «Vympel» designs tankers of different types and cargo-carrying capacities in compliance with the requirements of Classification Societies, International Conventions, Rules and Sanitary Standards.

 

The project 00216 tanker is designed to carry crude oil and oil products without limitation for vapor flashpoints of cargos, including those required heating, as well as vegetable oils (of  technical duty). The tanker can operate in the Mediterranean, Black and Caspian seas according to the class as well as in inland waterways of the RF European part., with passage through the Volga-Don navigation canal and the Volga-Baltic waterway.
