Jul 6, 2009 Port

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., the world's third-largest shipyard, said Friday that it has completed construction on four liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers, the last batch of ships to be used for a Qatari gas project.
The ships will be delivered to Qatar in December this year and will supply gas to the United States and Europe.
In 2003, state-run Qatar Gas Transportation Co. and U.S. energy giant Exxon Mobil Corp. launched a joint project to transfer a million tons of gas from Qatar to Exxon Mobil's terminal in the U.S.
Qatar, the world's biggest LNG producer, has ordered a total of 53 LNG tankers from three Korean shipyards including Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., 26 of which were built by Daewoo Shipbuilding.
