Throughput of Batumi Oil Terminal down 36% to 2.8 mln t in H1 09

In the first half of 2009, Batumi Oil Terminal LLC handled 2.806 million tonnes of crude and oil products (-35.9%, year-on-year), Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner. In June the terminal transported 408,800 tonnes of crude and oil products (decrease by a half, year-on-year).

In the 6-month period, transshipment of oil amounted to 2.274 million tonnes (-15.9%, year-on-year), diesel fuel - 107,100 tonnes (down 6.5 times), gasoline - 115,500 tonnes (down 2.5 times), heavy fuel oil - 57,800 tonnes (down 8.1 times) while transshipment of aviation fuel increased 30 times to 92,000 tonnes.

In 2008, BOT decreased throughput by 24.8% to 7.15 million tonnes.

From February 2008, Batumi Oil Terminal belongs to KazMunaiGas, the state oil company of Kazakhstan
