Jun 19, 2009 Port

Press reports say 46 people from largest port in Taiwan and eight shipping lines have been accused of inflating cargo volume data.

Both Reuters and AFP said both officials at the port of Kaohsiung and major shipping lines were accused of exaggerated cargo volumes.

AFP quoted prosecutors as saying this enabled some executives to receive about $9.3 million in performance incentives.
