Lytle approved as Long Beach port No. 2

The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners approved the promotion of J. Christopher Lytle to the position of deputy executive director and chief operating officer for the Port of Long Beach.

In the new position, Lytle will serve as the port's No. 2 executive.

Lytle joined the port in 2006 as the managing director of trade relations and port operations, and has become well known within the industry as one of the more public faces of the port staff.
