Successful year for Tatravagonka

The Slovakian producer of rail-freight wagons, Tatravagonka Poprad, published its annual report. It shows, that, despite the global downturn, 2008 was a very successful year for the company, eTREND, RM - CEE Review reported.
According to the report, Tatravagonka increased its revenues coming from sales of their products to EUR 246.2m. A total profit of the company amounted EUR 21.45m. Compared to the year 2007 it is an increase by 45%.
Tatravagonka was established in 1922 and currently is one of the biggest European wagon-makers. Recently the company worked on a new type of wagons and bogies designed especially for the Russian railway market.
