CHINA Cargo Airlines, the joint venture of China Eastern Airlines and Cosco Group, has commenced two new cargo routes from Tianjin to Europe, Logistics Week reported.
One route is from Tianjin to Copenhagen and Paris then back to Shanghai's Pudong International Airport. The line offers thrice weekly service Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, taking off at 0300 hrs from Tianjin, using Boeing 747 freighter.
Another route is from Tianjin to Luxemburg then back to Pudong, Shanghai, which offers five flights a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, using MD-11 freighters. The flight takes off from Tianjin at 0550 hrs.
Inauguration of the two services has raised the number of all-cargo flights between Tianjin and Europe to 30 per week.
China Cargo Airlines, founded in 1998, is first mainland all-cargo carrier. It is headquartered in Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport but uses Pudong as its operations base.
