CONTINENTAL Airlines has announced it has resumed daily, non-stop service between its Newark hub outside New York City and Athens for the summer.

Greece is an important market for Continental, said airline vice president Jim Compton. We look forward to again offering seasonal service to Athens.

The service will operate through September 7, departing 1730 hrs, arriving in Athens at 1020 hrs the following day. The return flights will depart Athens daily at 1200 hrs, arriving at Newark at 1610 hrs the same day.

Flights will deploy Boeing 767-200ER aircraft, seating 174 passengers. Continental first flew to Athens service in 2007.
