HONG KONG's Cathay Pacific Airlines has been charged in court with air cargo price fixing by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), the eighth air carrier to be charged in Australia in the probe, Reuters reports.
The competition regulator alleges that between 2000 and 2006, Cathay Pacific entered into more than 70 arrangements or understandings with other carriers to fix prices on a fuel surcharge, a security surcharge and airfreight rates.
