DB invests in two tunnels

Deutsche Bahn (DB), the German railway company, is to have two tunnels worth a total of EUR 122mn (USD 158.65mn) built, Logistics Finland reported. One is to the south of Erfurt. It will be 1,300 metres long and come at EUR 44mn. It will be finished in three years. On the Koblenz-Perl route the Kaiser Wilhelm Tunnel will be adapted to modern requirements. The contracts went to the Austrian construction company Alpine.
