Apr 27, 2009 Logistics

British Airways World Cargo has appointed Cargo Care International as its general sales agent (GSA) in Denmark, following a successful tender process. The agreement came into effect in March 2009.
Mike Horsley, area commercial manager, north west Europe, said: Cargo Care International is an excellent partner to represent our interests in the Danish market. This is a positive step for our business, providing significant scope for us to increase activity in Denmark and better meet the needs of our customers in the region.
Anders Herrgaard Jepsen, managing director, Cargo Care International, and European cargo general sales agent consortium (EGSAC) representative for Denmark, said: We are delighted to have been appointed as BA World Cargo's GSA in Denmark. We have already received very positive feedback from Danish freight forwarders and look forward to a successful partnership with BA World Cargo.
As part of our summer schedule, BA World Cargo recently doubled its Danish capacity to two daily flights between Copenhagen and London Heathrow. These flights, along with our trucking service, which delivers freight from Denmark to London within 24 hours, provide customers with excellent connections to our wide-body flights and global network of nearly 200 destinations in over 80 countries.
