Poland for stronger ties with India

Prof. Piotr Klodkowski, Ambassador of Poland, while addressing the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI), the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and the World Trade Centre (WTC), Mumbai, has sought stronger trade ties with India, Exim News Service said.
Prof. Klodkowski said that Poland was strategically located in the centre of Europe which was full of rich consumers and close to the dynamic markets of Eastern Europe.
Mr Vijay G. Kalantri, President of IPCCI and AIAI, said trade and investment between the two countries was encouraging.
Bilateral trade had increased five-fold. Mr Kalantri saw scope for further increase in some of the select sectors such as food processing, IT, heavy industry and defence. Mr Janusz Bylinski, Consul General of Poland, was also present at the function.
