AirTran Airways announces new service

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced that it will begin service between Yeager Airport in Charleston, W.Va., which is a new destination for the carrier, and Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Fla.
AirTran Airways is pleased to connect residents of West Virginia's capital city with Orlando, one of the family vacation capitals of the world," said Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. "Our expansion to Charleston opens a gateway for residents in the heart of the Appalachians to get to Orlando, home of America's favorite vacation destination.We are very excited to welcome AirTran Airways, a true low cost carrier, to West Virginia, said, Rick Atkinson, Airport Director at Yeager Airport. "The passengers from our region will enjoy great service, to a very popular destination, at very affordable fares.With the addition of Charleston, W.Va., AirTran Airways will provide service to 63 destinations nationwide, including 36 nonstop cities from Orlando.
The following nonstop flights between Charleston, W.Va., and Orlando will be available beginning June 25, 2009.
