United's revenue passenger miles down 13.6pc in March

UNITED Airlines has reported that its consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased in March by 13.6 per cent on a consolidated capacity decrease of 9.9 per cent in available seat miles (ASMs) compared with the same period in 2008.

The company also reported that its March consolidated passenger load factor was 78.7 per cent. United operates more than 3,000 flights a day on United and United Express to more than 200 US domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington.
