Unified Base of Fishery Turnover

The minister of Agriculture of Russia Aleksey Gordeyev during the session of the presidium of the RF State Council in Astrakhan suggested creating a unified international accounting database for fishery turnover control.

According to him, all the preliminary agreements with the EU countries are already achieved and it is important to negotiate on the subject with the main Russian fishery importers in Asia – China, South Korea and Japan.

The creation of the database is considered as one of the measures to prevent illegal trade of bioresources.
