French manufacturer Renault Trucks, part of Volvo Group, will expand its Bulgarian network by opening a new showroom in Plovdiv and maintenance centres in Bourgas, Haskovo and Pleven by the year’s end.
According to The Sofia Echo, since stepping on the Bulgarian market in 2008, the truck maker has opened service centres in Sofia and Varna, investing more than 10 million euro in the process.
Bulgaria is the first Eastern European market where Renault Trucks set up its own structure. Despite the global financial meltdown, the manufacturer plans to boost Bulgarian sales and market share as well as expand the maintenance portfolio.
Renault Trucks will count on Bulgaria’s key infrastructure projects such as the construction of the Trakiya, Lyulin and Strouma motorways and the Belene nuclear power station project, Renault Trucks Commercial Bulgaria executive director Stefano Chiccone said.
